General Particular: Introduction

Initial Task

This topic looks at the important distinction in academic writing between general statements (using abstract language) and particular examples (using concrete language)

You will find information and quizzes to try and will be encouraged to complete a log at regular intervals. This can be a paper-based exercise or you could record your thoughts electronically using Microsoft Word or similar software. At the end of the topic you may be asked to complete a journal which will be assessed by your tutor.
