Jot down in your log book answers to the following questions:
Think through your week and jot down the different styles of language which you use for different purposes. (For example, talking to friends, ordering goods over the phone, texting, writing an essay.)
If you regularly use a language (or languages) other than English, jot down the styles you use in the other language(s). Do you speak and write in another language?
Do you use any language other than English for academic purposes (i.e. study)?
